This is the opening scene to The Purge. Within this opening scene it is all dark and scary which links to the feel/conventions of a typical horror film. The beginning title of the film is a film distribution and production company which is in small letters just out of the middle of the page on a blank screen. I wanted to base the titles around this due to the fact that it makes a mysterious impact-it is blank and small which quite a few horror films have such as: The Conjuring and Paranormal Activity.
This is the opening sequence for the conjuring which is very similar to the purge credits due to the fact that they are small and plain. The only difference is, the titles are always on a blank screen which occasionally has animated pictures popping up every once and a while which aren't really relevant to the film itself. Additionally, the fact that the titles are on a blank screen creates mystery as the audience are unaware of what the film is going to be like. Whereas, The Purge credits show what is happening and what will happen within the film while the titles are running. I have decided to use titles similar to The Purge and The Conjuring due to the fact that they are both small and plain however still do not fail to get the point across. I want my titles to be on a blank screen-making sure that the audience actually read them and do not get distracted by what is going on in the background.

main task rough cut feedback
What Went Well-
- Audience were able to receive some emotional involvement
- good running foot shot
- good use of ellipsis-doesn't show all of the running and the actor taking her clothes off
Improvements-
- Logo-make it more professional-make it an animated title
- give more variety of camerawork
- make shots brighter
- make titles more professional-don't include names that you don't need storyboard artist.
- Don't loops the sound as it goes on for too long
- don't let heartbeat sound go on for too long
- running, long shot needs to be close as you have just gained a relationship with the character as its just come from close up to the face.
- When you drop the key, maybe say "shit" to make her sound more real and distressed about the situation
- When you drop the key, edit out harry's gloves.
- zoom in camera-too jogged, not normal-camera needs to be more static
- Mirror shot-maybe a high angle, makes her look more distant or character looking directly at the camera to increase the relationship.
- Don't put normal clothes back on when you get out of the shower
- When you open the door and the title comes after it looks like the end of a trailer, either put a big reveal at the end or don't use the door shot at all.
Logo-
- Smaller picture, name comes up below
- not handwritten, animated text makes it look more real and professional
Titles-
- Any names that you like to make it more professional, you don't need the actual job roles on the film, as long as it looks real and professional

Research into film companies and logos (Georgia Skipper)
As well as the six major film Studios (based on market share in the United States and Canada):
Warner Brothers- 17.1%
Walt Disney- 15.9%
Universal Studio's- 13.9%
Columbia- 11.2%
20th Century Fox- 10.8%
Paramount- 8.9%
There are many smaller production companies within the major studios developing and creating films based on genre and age restriction, due to out genre we looks into these companies, their names and logos as the production company gives the film an image.
Twisted Pictures is the largest production company for thriller films. Therefore we looked into its logo and movement and made ours using similarities.
We decided on the name 'CrazyFace' for our production company and wanted our logo to be a distorted skull winkinh at the audience, opening his mouth and the name coming out as if he was screaming it with psychotic laughter and the over sound.
Here are sketches and Drafts of our logos which we asked for audience feedback on for placement, size and colour.
Script (Georgia Skipper)
[In a field, its dark-this tells the audience that is late- camera shows an empty track and then into an over the shoulder shot of a injured young girl running away from something behind her, this cuts into a shot of the empty track level with the ground, as the girls feet come into frame the camera pans to show a low angle shot of her running into the distance, followed by a point of view shot of her running, followed by a shot of the young girl running to the camera and making a decision on where to run next. The audience can see that the character is in pain and in trouble, as she gets to her home there is a high angle shot of her trying to get in to her home however her panic is proving to be a problem. When she finally gets into her home there is a tracking shot of her running up the stairs, followed by an extreme close up of her turning on the shower and a high, mid-shot of her feet in the shower, the camera shallow focus' on the blood washing of and washing down the drain to show the extent of the attack and damage caused. There is a cut to the girl in the mirror trying t cover he bruises and slashes, folowed by a cut to a extreme close up and a reveal shot of the door handle moving, to a pan of legs waking through the door ending as a hand is placed on the girls shoulder.]
